Thin lips can be a source of frustration to some women who may have an otherwise beautiful face. Ideally, when the lips are full, the size of the lower lip vermillion (pink portion) should be 1.6 times the size of the upper lip vermillion. (The”Golden Ratio” is supposed to be 1.618, but, practically, 1.6 will suffice). When this ration is achieved, the face becomes much more attractive and expressive.
There are a number of fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm (both made of Hyaluronic acid)
that can be used to thicken the lips and also bring the respective sizes of the lips to the “Golden Ratio” level.
We occasionally add a more diluted Hyaluronic Acid filler, Belotero, in order to get a more complete result.
